Vizcaya Museum & Gardens has introducesd many
visitors to Miami’s place in history—a time when America’s wealthiest industrialists created lavish
homes inspired by the palaces of Europe.Vizcaya is both a National Historic Landmark and a public museum. Originally
built in 1916 by James Deering, it hosts 10-acres of formal gardens, a stunning main house, hardwood hammock and a Venetian-style
boating dock.
